While Direct to Garment (DTG) and vinyl have been popular in textile printing, Direct to Film (DTF) offers several distinct advantages that set it apart:

Versatility Across Fabrics

DTF excels in adhering to a wide variety of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, silk, and various blends. This versatility is a significant advancement over DTG, which works best primarily on cotton.

Application Instructions

No Need To Pre-Press Or Pre-Iron

No need to fuss over pre-pressing or pre-ironing. Moisture removal? Not necessary. Unless you're in the mood for a pre-press party – then go right ahead!

Position Your Design

Take your time to position your transfer exactly where you want it on your item. For flat presses, no worries. But if you're working with hats or using an iron, a bit of heat-resistant tape can be helpful. Your design, your rules!

Press

Apply medium pressure at 285°F / 140°C for 15 seconds. If you're feeling extra cautious, use parchment paper to shield your masterpiece.

Peel Your Creation

Start peeling from one corner. If the transfer didn't fully adhere, press again with extra pressure and time (+5-10 seconds). If needed, gradually increase heat in 15°F increments. Multiple presses are fine!

Final Press & Wash Instructions

Lay parchment paper or a tee layer, then press again for 15 seconds. This softens the design, boosts durability, and removes shine. For a glossy look, use a protective guard sheet. For washing, flip the shirt inside out, cold wash, low heat dry, or hang dry.

Special Instructions for Glitter/Glow in the Dark Transfers

• Cotton: 330°F to 350°F for 15 sec, then flip the garment and press another 15 seconds.
• Blends: 300°F to 330°F for 15 sec, then flip the garment and press another 15 seconds.
• Poly: 280°F to 300°F for 15 sec, then flip the garment and press another 15 seconds.
• Final Press: After cold peeling, press for 5-10 seconds.

Tips for Medium and Large Quantity Orders

• For speed, you can quickly press and stack the product with the transfer unpeeled. Then, peel the cooled transfers and finish with your final press.

Avoid Scorching

• Reduce the pressure and heat by 15°F (5°C) if you notice permanent scorching. Use parchment paper or a protective guard sheet to protect the product.

Holding The Parchment Steady

• Use magnets to hold the parchment paper sheet to the press. Cover the whole iron so your garment is always protected.

Press Until You Get It Right

• Pro Tip: You cannot OVERPRESS your transfers. Adjust your settings and keep pressing until you find the sweet spot for each design and garment.

Care Instructions

• Wash: Turn the garment inside out. Machine wash cold.
• Dry: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.
• Avoid: Bleach, fabric softeners, and ironing directly on the design.
• Longevity: For best results, wash the garment 24 hours after pressing.
